Saudis Can Expect a Seamless Transition To and From The Cabin Chiang Mai
Going into an addiction treatment programme can be a daunting and stressful process, but here at The Cabin Chiang Mai we aim to make it as efficient and painless as possible for you.
The fact that we have our own hospital means that all aspects of treatment, from initial assessment, to primary treatment, through to aftercare are all handled seamlessly.
Below is a step-by-step rundown of our admissions process:
It All Starts With a Phone Call or an Email
Your journey with The Cabin will start when you contact us by phone or email to speak to one of our counsellors about our treatment programme and how it can help you.
During this call, we’ll ask you questions, walk you through our treatment options and give you all of the information you need. This simple phone call will serve as a useful guide on what to do going forward.
We’ll also help you to arrange your travel at this stage (see below for guidance).
The Next Step: Your Official Assessment
In order for us to design a treatment plan that caters to your unique circumstances, needs and preferences, we’ll conduct a full psychiatric assessment upon your arrival at The Cabin Chiang Mai.
Treatment At The Cabin Chiang Mai
After your assessment, you’ll settle into a routine of one-on-one and group counselling, mindfulness meditation, physical exercise and excursions with your fellow clients.
Continuing Care in Saudi Arabia
When you complete primary treatment, we’ll provide you with a discharge summary and information on your aftercare options for when you return home. Effective continuing care is a vital part of your recovery – and we’ll be there for you every step of the way. You’ll be given the opportunity to receive guidance via online video meetings, in-person support from our alumni network and more.
Travelling to Thailand – We Can Help!
Feel free to let us know if you need any assistance getting to Thailand. We can help you to arrange flights, travel insurance, visas and many other aspects of your trip.
Here’s some basic information to help you make your initial plans:
As a Saudi Arabian citizen, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your arrival in Thailand. If you need more information regarding visa applications – or if you need help with your application – please feel free to contact us.
Chiang Mai is served by flights from Saudi Arabia multiple times per day, with just two easy transfers along the way.
Once you arrive at Chiang Mai airport, our staff will greet you and take you on a short drive to our facilities by private transportation. We advise clients to aim to arrive at The Cabin before 4pm if possible, as this ensures a smooth orientation.
If you have any medical conditions, we advise that you submit your current medical reports for safety reasons. Upon arrival at our rehab facilities, a comprehensive health check will be conducted.
Once you reach our facilities, our psychologist will conduct an interview and assessment on your substance abuse history. This procedure will help us develop an appropriate addiction treatment programme suited to your individual needs.
- You should be physically and mentally fit to partake in our everyday activities. If you have any concerns regarding your physical or psychological state, please inform our clinical team members.
- You must comply with the terms and policies of the treatment programme.
