Cabin Host/ Cabin Hostess - Chiang Mai, Thailand

As part of our Support Services team, we are looking for outgoing, excellent communicators to accompany our clients during the early stages of our admissions process. The role will include accompanying our team of dedicated drivers and escorting clients, families and VIP’s from the airport, through admissions and into treatment.

Yoga & Mindfulness Staff - Chiang Mai, Thailand

  • Demonstrate how to carry out yoga and mindfulness
  • Watch clients do yoga and show or tell them correct techniques to minimize injury and improve meditation.
  • Give alternative yoga during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adapt programs as needed.
  • Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations on yoga, and the use of yoga equipment.
  • Give clients information or resources about nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues.

2.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer-service skills. Yoga & mindfulness staff must be polite, friendly, and encouraging to maintain relationships with their clients.
  • Listening skills. Yoga & mindfulness staff must be able to listen carefully to what clients tell them to determine the client’s fitness levels and desired fitness goals.
  • Motivational skills. Getting fit and staying fit takes a lot of work for many clients and keep their clients motivated.
  • Physical fitness. Yoga & mindfulness staff need to be physically fit because their job requires a considerable amount of exercise. Group instructors often participate in classes, and personal trainers often need to show exercises to their clients.
  • Problem-solving skills. Yoga & mindfulness staff must evaluate each client’s level of fitness and create an appropriate fitness plan to meet the client’s individual needs.
  • Speaking skills. Yoga & mindfulness staff must be able to communicate well because they need to be able to explain exercises and movements to clients, as well as motivate them verbally during exercises.

PURPOSE:
Perform mainly, but not solely, practical duties. These will include playing a supportive role to the counselling team carrying out tasks for clients that
that have been identified as aiding the therapeutic process and specified in details in the daily workbook.
Be a key team member in intake; orientation and discharge procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Transporting and supervising clients between sites.
  2. Escort clients for specific off-site activities where indicated.
  3. Perform duties in accordance with Cabin policies and guidelines.
  4. Plan and perform the entire intake and discharge procedures as per guidelines; training and specific instructions.
  5. Monitor, observe, manage and report clients’ concerns or any changes in clients’ behavior.
  6. Communicate effectively on all aspects of clients’ care/ progress/ concerns.
  7. Work effectively within your team and collaborate with other teams in the interest of the clients’ welfare.
  8. Attend training, supervision and meetings as part of your ongoing development and improving the quality of the service you provide.
  9. Work closely with the medical team in support of clients who are experiencing difficulties during their drug detox period.
  10. Work closely with the fitness and training teams, meeting daily and as required to ensure that clients are gaining the maximum benefit and identifying along with the medical team clients who are not yet suitable for exercise.
  11. Participate fully in Wednesday and Saturday afternoon activities, on- and off-site. Assist in rounding up clients for this and daily exercises.
  12. Effectively and efficiently complete all tasks assigned to you on a daily basis in the To-do Book. You may not amend your delegated tasks without consultation.
  13. Actively assist clients and monitor their compliance with their programme.
  14. Be present and engage with clients during mealtimes and other activities.
  15. Monitor and be aware of clients’ whereabouts at all times. Regularly check on clients confined to their room, recently arrived clients, and clients in detox, in liaison with nursing staff.
  16. Conduct the following as directed by managers/ counsellors/ directors: bag, body and room searches, drug testing, processing relapses, locating escapees.
  17. Monitor rules around sexual relationships, clients general conduct e.g. music, aggressive or abusive behaviour or foul language.
  18. Monitoring and enforcing policies around use of phones and electronic devices.
  19. Assist in the maintenance of appropriateness, necessity of, and procedures for excursions and off-site activities.
  20. Assist in the monitoring of drugs/ prohibited items that may be brought in by visitors, post or parcels.
  21. Under direction, attend to clients with special needs, e.g. adolescents, mental health diagnosis, elderly, medical diagnoses and any with challenging behaviours.
  22. Assist with the enforcement of policies and guidelines, confidentiality, behaviour contract, liability waiver, relapse policy, family involvement, boundaries, room changes.
  23. Conduct all financial transactions strictly in line with The Cabin’s policies: petty cash and acceptable receipts, collection, checking, documenting and safe-keeping of clients’ monies, final bill settlement.
  24. Liaise closely with co-coordinators on booking for excursions, taxi, massage, shopping and other administrative aspects of clients’ needs.
  25. Some support workers with the relevant skills and experience will undertake counselling, online aftercare and group work as directed by management and under supervision. Training and supervision will be provided for new staff.
Psychologist - Melbourne, Australia

Seeking registered Psychologist for AOD clinic

Psychologist required for The Cabin, Melbourne opening in early 2017 for a part time position (commencing at 2 days per week) for afternoon/evening work.

The preferred applicant will be responsible for both group and individual therapy sessions with clients of the practice. In addition to treatment provision you will also be required to engage in networking with relevant professionals, case note and report preparation, assessment and engagement of clients in the programe.

We are seeking an applicant who has significant experience in working with people who are suffering from substance use disorders. Experience and exposure to a range of addiction treatment modalities would be highly regarded (inpatient, outpatient). The applicant should have a good range of working knowledge of treatment approaches to addiction (ie CBT; 12 Steps; Mindfulness) and be willing to work within a set programe of treatment.

The applicant should have the following:
– Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (Desirable: Clinical Endorsement)
– Ability to obtain a Medicare provider number
– Professional liability insurance.
– First Aid certificate (desirable)
